3 Sacrifices from YOU that GOD is well pleased with
1. The first sacrifice God is well pleased with is the sacrifice of our bodies for His service.
Romans 12: 1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy,acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.
When we present our bodies to God for His service, living in a way that is acceptable to Him, He is well pleased with this sacrifice. This is one of the major reasons He saved us for- to do good works in His name (Ephesians 2: 10).
2. The second sacrifice God is well pleased with is when we praise Him and give Him thanks. This gives Him honor.
Hebrews 13: 15 Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name.
When we offer praise and thanksgiving to God, especially when it is difficult, it is a sacrifice well pleasing to Him.
It shows honor, trust and allegiance.
3. The third sacrifice from us that God is well pleased with is when we do good to others and share with them.
Hebrews 13: 16 But do not forget to do good and to share, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.
When we, from our resources, sacrifice such things as our time, talents, giftings, or money, to bless and help others, theses are sacrifices God is well pleased with.
This expresses love, care, consideration + generosity.
This presents us with a wonderful pattern to begin our days.
Lord, I offer my body today for Your service.
I offer praise and thanksgiving to You right now, giving honor to You.
And I ask You to empower me and lead me to bless and help others today.
