Receive more to reign more:
We’ve learned that those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of God’s righteousness will REIGN in life through Jesus (Romans 5: 17). It takes more time to be with God to receive more from God, but it’s worth it.
The Source of empowerment: As we appear before God in relational prayer and worship, and feed upon His Word, we are being supernaturally empowered by His grace.
This means God is at that moment supplying His Spirit to us enabling us to prevail, overcome and reign in His will.
Rely upon your supernatural Helper: God has given His Spirit to us as a constant supernatural Helper, and one of those areas of help is to put to death the sinful impulses and deeds of the sinful nature. Observe:
“For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live” (Romans 8: 13).
The “deeds of the body” are sins of the sinful nature. Those who live according to their sinful nature live a defeated life and never come to living and reigning with Christ.
Our hope and victory promise:
“But if BY THE SPIRIT you put to death the sins of the body…”
This means:
You can’t do it on your own.
You need the Spirit’s help.
You HAVE the Spirit’s help.
You have to take the initiative.
Therefore, IF YOU will yield to HIM, ask for His help and be filled with Him, HE WILL ENABLE YOU to put to death and overcome the sin(s) of the old nature, so you may LIVE and REIGN with Christ.
Here are some of the sins of the body (of the old nature) that the Spirit helps and enables us to put to death:
At any given time, when being tempted, acknowledge the Holy Spirit in you. Ask Him to help you right then and there to put that fleshly desire to death. He will empower you to count yourself dead indeed to that impulse that leads to sin (as pictured above). He will lead you into the way of overcoming, which leads to reigning in life. You have a supernatural Helper who is more powerful than your flesh, who will empower you to overcome to reign in Christ.
Ask God right now:
Father, I ask You to fill me and help me with Your Spirit to put to death the deeds of my old nature and enable me to reign with Christ today.

Remember, whatever you sow, THAT is what you will reap. Keep sowing images of the new you being victorious over sin and the devil, and you will reap it in real life.
