While sitting at a traffic light, I looked over at this gas station noticing those who were putting fuel in their vehicles.
And this thought came to me: “They’re not wasting their time, are they?”
Yep, we all know why they are taking the time to pull over– you’re car just needs fuel to get you to where you want to go.
You can know where you want to go, have your road map or your GPS, but if you don’t have your fuel, it’s just not going get you there.
And so it is with us on the spiritual side. Just as the engineers created the car with a tank and gas line for the fuel to get to the engine so it can operate, so God created us with a spirit to be fueled with His Word and Spirit.
We may have His Word as our GPS, but if we don’t pull over to be fueled with His Presence (His Spirit), we are just not going to be able to operate the way He designed and engineered for us to.
God’s Spirit is fuel for our spirit. And unbeknownst to many believers, we were actually made to drink with our spirit.
1 Corinthians 12: 13 says, “For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body… and have all been made to DRINK into one Spirit.
Personal Question: How’s our inner tank doing– where would the Spirit- fuel gauge be:
Full, 3/4, half, 1/4 or on Empty?
Good news: God’s fueling station is open 24/7.
It’s not a waste of time to pull over, is it?
Jesus said it:
* It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.”
* As the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, so he who feeds on Me will live because of Me.
(John 6: 63, 57).
