Let’s take another look at this, just to make sure we got it, are settled in it, and more conscientious of it:
“To those who are called, sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ…” (Jude 1:1)
Therefore you are CALLED, SANCTIFIED, and PRESERVED by GOD in JESUS!
Beloved, this has everything to do with your identity, purpose and eternal future with God in Christ Jesus.
It’s wonderful to see this throughout God’s Word, yet spoken in a different ways.
For instance, read what Jesus said here about His own people using a Shepherd-sheep paradigm, and look for your Calling, Sanctification and Preservation:
“My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand” (John 10: 27-29)
Did you see it?
* Your Calling– My sheep hear My voice. Here, you are identified with the Son of God as one of His.
* Your Sanctification– And they follow Me. Here, you see your purpose as a child of God. It is to follow Jesus. It is to know Him, His will and His ways, and to follow His example. We can’t follow, serve or live for two masters. Following Jesus separates us from following the prince of this world (Satan) and the spirit of this world and its ways. Following Jesus is our sanctification from darkness to light. Jesus is the light of this world. Whoever follows Him shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life (John 8: 12). * Your Preservation– and I give them eternal life… they shall never perish… no one can snatch them out of My hands. Here you see your future, as seen in God’s promise of your life’s preservation and eternal security in Christ.
Let’s make this our proclamation today:
I am CALLED, SANCTIFIED, and PRESERVED by GOD in JESUS!
I’ve heard and am hearing the Good Shepherd’s voice.
I am following Him and will always follow Him. He is my forever Shepherd, my Ability, my Strength, and my Steadfast Endurance.
And I have eternal life and will never perish. I am in God’s Hands and no one can snatch me away.
I am identified with Him, find my purpose in Him, and have my future secured in Him, both now and forevermore.
Therefore I am preserved, guarded and upheld by God Himself. I am blessed forever ?
