Wisdom for Decisions.
A declaration of our God and Father:
“To God our Savior, who alone is wise, be glory and majesty…” (Jude 1: 25).
“For the LORD gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding” (Prov 2: 6).
A declaration of a wise person:
“A wise person will hear and increase learning…” (Proverbs 1: 5).
Therefore wise people listen to God’s wisdom and yield to His counsel. They are not foolish.
Power Truth: God, who alone is wise, is our wisdom for every decision.
One character trait of a wise person is that they learn to think things through:
Wisdom for making decisions is VITAL because…
* Decisions affect our lives- our time, health, finances and relationships.
* Decisions affect the quality of our lives- how they will turn out.
* Decisions, many times, affect the lives of those around us.
Therefore it’s important to exercise forethought before making decisions.
Here are a few questions to help do this:
* Is it acceptable to God? Is it in His will?
* What ‘position’ will this put me in later on (stressed, at ease, in a good place)?
* Will I be considered wise (By God) for making this decision?
* Will I be pleased and happy about this decision afterwards?
* Will I hear “well done” from the Lord?
